Position Overview:
The Summer Camp Medical Professional is a new and vital position at Shekinah Summer Camp. Each week, our camp hosts an average of 15–30 campers and employs a staff team of 8–10 individuals who will rely on the Camp Medical Professional for medical care and guidance
The primary responsibility of the Camp Medical Professional is to administer medications to both campers and staff, as well as to provide care for any minor or major injuries that occur on site during the summer season. The Medical Professional must be available to respond promptly to any medical situations that may arise, whether during the day or at night.
Given the smaller size of our camp, it is expected that medical demands will generally be light, consisting mainly of routine medication administration and occasional minor injuries. During quieter periods, the Camp Medical Professional will have the opportunity to assist in other non-essential areas of camp operations as needed. This may include helping in the kitchen, supporting the Program Director or Camp Leader with various tasks, or participating in camp activities.
