OVERVIEW:
The Site Manager will be the person primarily responsible for the integrity of The Quest’s
facilities and property by performing preventative maintenance, responding to emergencies
and ensuring the property remains ready to host summer camps, and off-season groups of young adults.
The Site Manager is encouraged to live on site, depending on their housing requirements. If not living on site, living a short distance away is necessary.

YOU WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
• Ensure camp property is clean and all amenities/equipment are functioning properly
• Perform outdoor maintenance including: landscaping, lawn mowing, tree removal, snow
removal, collecting garbage, waterfront activity installation and removal
• Perform indoor maintenance including: inspection of HVAC systems, painting, repair,
upgrading, deep cleaning
• Pick up supplies at outside locations as needed
• Develop and practise a preventative maintenance program to minimize expense and
downtime
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all equipment
• Comply with all inspections and regulatory agencies including Public Health and Safety,
Occupational Health and Safety and Water Security regulations
• Ensure site remains safe and hazard free for all campers, user group(s), and staff
• Participate in the ministry of The Quest through mentorship and involvement in all events
• Facilitate off season programming by working along side the students and staff using the facility in a dormitory style setting. During the summer, the Site Manager will need to train and supervise summer staff.
• Develop and operate within a modest yearly budget
• Provide updates and reports on a regular basis
• Perform any additional duties requested by the Executive Director

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Pleasure Craft Operators License (needs to be obtained by June, 2022)
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Experience operating skid steers and similar heavy equipment
• Basic knowledge of small engine repair and maintenance
• Basic knowledge of 120V and 240V electrical systems
• Basic construction and finishing skills
• Basic knowledge of potable and non-potable water systems (training will be provided)
• Willingness to work alone and be self-motivated
• Hospitable and welcoming towards other staff members, retreat clients, and campers
• Willingness to support the ministry of The Quest and be in agreement with our Statement of Faith.

ABOUT THE QUEST:
The Quest at Christopher Lake is a Christian summer camp providing this experience to people
of all ages and backgrounds. The Quest is a ministry of the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada. The Quest operates as a summer camp from June to August,
and for the remainder of the year provides accommodations for students in a dormitory setting. This is a new business model starting this fall, 2022.
The Quest is also supported by its ministry partners which exist across Saskatchewan. The Quest strives to bring all who come through its gates at least one step closer to Jesus Christ.
The Quest is located in the District of Lakeland, Saskatchewan and sits on 136 acres of
waterfront property on Christopher Lake. The Quest has a two main rental facilities, several
smaller cabins, and the ability to host and feed a maximum of 160 people. The Quest features
multiple recreational facilities including a large swimming area, which is used as a rink in winter,
climbing wall, canoeing, archery pit, low ropes courses, and one boat for use in the watersports
program. The Quest also has 2 large maintenance buildings (which includes a large Site Manager Shop), plus the Director’s residence.
