Job Description

Echo Lake Bible Camp is hiring!  Do you LOVE camp?  Are you looking for a way to serve at camp or to gain experience in camp ministry or non-profit work?    We are looking for someone to fill our new part-time/contract position of Ministry Director.  

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • has experience serving at ELBC or other camp experience
  • Has a desire to work in ministry and provide Bible-based programming to children, youth, and families
  • has strong leadership, administrative and organizational skills
  • is able to work from home.  
  • is available during our summer sessions (3 weeks in July) in person (ideally) or, at minimum, they are available on-call .  
  • has experience working in CampBrain registration software (or can be a quick learner!)
  • Is familiar with Plan to Protect safety policies and procedures

We are willing to negotiate either a contract or part-time employee hire, depending on their needs.   Work hours are flexible, but be prepared to work most of the annual hours during our camp planning season, which means August-January is pretty relaxed.

Compensation: $6000/year

Commitment: 20-30 hrs/month on average, with higher commitment in May-July.

Description:  This is a part-time, remote position.  The hired candidate will be responsible to oversee the summer camp ministry at ELBC.  They will report to the Executive Director, and be responsible to manage summer staff and volunteers.

Job Duties include:

  • Work with the ED to plan all areas of summer camp sessions (3 weeks of camp sessions)
  • Oversee the summer camp sessions and supervise the Program Director and Lead Staff
  • Operate and maintain camper and staff registration in CampBrain
  • Recruit, hire and vet summer staff and volunteers, including speakers and summer students
  • Oversee the schedules for summer sessions
  • Plan and oversee staff training
  • Manage camp merchandise design, ordering and sales
  • General support for all ministry-related aspects of ELBC’s operations
